3 Tips for Parents of Foster Tech Students:

  1. Attendance Attendance Attendance! Missing a day of Foster Tech is like missing 3 classes at Mt. Abram! CTE instructors require and expect good attendance, please  support and help your student make it to the bus stop on time.  If your student needs to miss a day, whenever possible, let the instructor know about it in advance.

  1. It’s a job! Once school gets rolling, many instructors treat their programs as if they are on the job-site. They want workers to show up on time, ready to work, learn and be engaged. If you are sick or need to miss a day, call/text/email your instructor ASAP, just like you would for a real job.

  1. Students driving a personal vehicle to Foster Tech is a special privilege and not a right. Permission to drive is granted by the administrators of MTA and will only be approved if your student has a logical need to drive. At NO TIME should a student give a ride to another student during the school day.

Helping your son/daughter succeed at Foster CTE is a top priority for me. If you have any questions regarding any aspect of the Foster Tech experience, please do not hesitate to contact me at school or on my cell.

Sincerely,

Mit
